The first yearbook of the Stout Institute was published in 1909. Due to the Great War an abbreviated yearbook was published in 1918 and the following year it was not produced. It resumed publication in 1920 and continued until 1989 when it failed due to costs and student apathy. In 1923 the official name of the yearbook was changed to the TOWER in honor of the Bowman Hall clock tower.
